Many residents have requested that the M.U.D. purchase and install Flock cameras at the entrances to the subdivisions in the M.U.D. These cameras record only license plate numbers; not make, model or occupants of the vehicle. The system then compares the license numbers to those in a database, maintained by law enforcement agencies, that have been placed there by those agencies because of the involvement in a crime. If the recorded license plate shows up in the database, law enforcement agencies are notified. If the license plate number is not in the database, no action is taken and the number is erased.
